Welcome!

Our group consists of approximately 160 children spread across two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs and two Scout troops. They are fortunate to take part in the fabulous varied programme laid on by the strong team of over 35 adult volunteer leaders.

Preparing young people with skills for life

We're Scouts and everyone is welcome here. Every week, we help almost half a million people aged 4-25 develop skills for life. Are you ready to join the adventure?

What do Scouts do?

Scouts are a go-getting group of young people who:

  • Master new skills and try new things

  • Make new friends

  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad

  • Explore the world around them

  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond

Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.

10th Harpenden Scout Group relies on parent support to exist. Many of the current leaders are parents of Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. Others become involved because they enjoyed Scouting themselves and enjoy the camaraderie amongst the leaders, whilst facilitating the hugely diverse experiences the children are offered.

Scouts is for everyone.
